The oven door on our Viking had settled far enough out of true that you could feel heat spilling past the top edge, and anything roasted longer than an hour came out cooked on one side. Tired hinge springs, apparently, not the seal I had been blaming. He replaced them, reset the door, then had me crouch down and sight along the gap myself before and after. Our bungalow off Olde Town is not exactly square either, so I appreciated being shown rather than told.
Gas Ranges & Cooktops
Stubborn ignition, one burner that yellows or lifts, an oven that reads hot or cold. On these high-lot homes most of it comes down to combustion tuned for the altitude and to worn igniters, which we set right rather than replace blindly.
